When in dout, bring it out. What a cool saying. So true because how are you going to know what you have if you don't ck it out? Duh?!
I say it over & over, if the piece of jewelry 'talks' to me, then I'm more likely going to keep it regardless of 'what' it's made of.
You can admire how it was made, the craftsmanship that it took to make it.
I have ALOT of jewelry I need to have cked out but I have to find a good place to do it. Maybe I'll go to a store or two in town & see what happens.
Most of my stuff is S925 & I have alot of shappires, ruby, diamonds, tanzanite you name it I probably got it. They're all rings mostly that I've found over the yrs while metal detecting.
If tin cans, nails ect were worth alot I could be a zillionaire, ha, ha. Some friends of mine want me to take them metal detecting after seeing some of the rings. I keep trying to tell them those kind of finds ARE hard to find, it's mostly hit & miss, but it's alot of fun to try & good exercise.
There is a spot I'll take them too. I've had a big hit there & I just never tried to dig it up. The beeping sound is like at least 5 feet across by maybe 4 feet wide. Might be some under ground power line who knows. If find anything good like a buried chest will come back with the find results.

The title says "How to tell.." But he never said how except to bring it to him. Umm, not that helpful.
