Have done this a few times as a rank amateur. Mixed results. Questions : 1. I have bought the wrong size rubber spline a few times. It's hard to eyeball even when I have the old piece, is there a color code or way of measuring or some trick to know which of the several spline sizes it is?
    2. Is there a trick to tensioning the (fiberglass) screen material? The fiberglass screens are so stretchy… I've never used aluminum screen.. I assume its less of an issue tkngdt the tension right?
    3. When trimming excess screen where are you trimming to? How close?
    4. Hkw deep are you driving the spline with the roller. I see yku apparently go over it several times…
    Thanks

What am I doing wrong in that when I do it like you show that the frame twists when I pick the screen up? I have tried everything that I can think of and still can't figure it out. Thanks

Do you always work off the ground/floor. Try folding tables. Don't worry. it took me 30 years to get it right.
